Consequences of failing to provide personal data

If you do not provide the required personal data, it may prevent or delay us from processing your requests, contacting you and prevent us from entering into a waste services contract with you.

  • Quoting for, implementing and performance of a contract (for commercial waste services).
  • Contacting you in order to confirm contracts and improve service delivery and complaint handling and resolution.

  • Entering or performing a contract with the data subject (Regulation 1(b)).

  • We may share your information with other teams within the city council as needed to deliver the waste and recycling services.

How long we hold your information

We will only keep your information for the minimum period necessary. The information outlined in this privacy notice will be kept in accordance with our retention schedule which is six years following cease of contract for commercial waste contracts. All information will be held securely and destroyed under confidential conditions.
